Volunteer

Join us at the warehouse for a fulfilling experience with your friends and family! We offer flexible volunteering shifts — morning, afternoon, or evening — to fit your schedule. Whether you’re interested in individual or group activities, or even mobile opportunities, there’s a spot for everyone.

Come help us count, sort, wrap diapers, and assemble period kits for our weekly distributions. We’re dedicated to supporting our families and ensuring our volunteers have a rewarding experience.

Returning Volunteer? If you’ve been part of our volunteer family in the past two to three years, we’d love to hear from you. Take a few minutes to fill out our volunteer survey and help us make your volunteering even more rewarding.

Volunteer Opportunities

Join us at the warehouse and become a part of our community effort! We welcome volunteers of all ages and encourage you to sign up for your preferred volunteering slot. We communicate all updates, including changes and reminders, via email, so you stay informed.

You can bring a guest who is 10 years or older, as long as you register them in advance and spots are still available. We also cherish our youngest helpers, those under 10, who are more than welcome to join their parents or guardians during volunteer sessions.

If your plans change, please release your spot so someone on the waitlist can participate.

Warehouse Activities: Every day offers something new! You might be wrapping diapers, assembling kits for period supplies, fulfilling orders, decorating boxes, or preparing library kits.

Period Supplies Station: Dive into organizing and preparing essential supplies—counting, sorting, and packing items to support our community partners, along with various other tasks that help keep our operations running smoothly.

Booked Through May 2024 —Thanks to You!
Next Opening: June-December 2024
We’re accepting group volunteer requests for June through December 2024.

Come and make a difference with us at the warehouse! We welcome groups ranging from 8 to 20 members for a dynamic two-hour volunteering session. We always have diaper wrapping, but there’s plenty of other essential work to be done as well—from packing Period Kits to other crucial tasks based on daily needs.

What you need to know about volunteering in groups:

  • Group Size: Minimum of 8 and maximum of 20 volunteers.
  • Age Requirement: All volunteers must be at least 13 years old.
  • Youth Groups: For those aged 13-18, we require 3-4 chaperones per group to ensure a smooth experience.
  • Planning Ahead: Please send your volunteer requests at least 30 days in advance, especially if you’re considering organizing a supply drive during your visit.
  • Drive and Volunteer: We highly encourage groups to organize supply drives as part of their volunteer day. It’s a great way to engage more deeply and see the full impact of your efforts in our warehouse operations.

Join our Pack & Impact program to directly engage in preparing essential supplies that make a difference in our community. Whether you choose to help with diapers or period kits, your efforts will support families across 12 counties in Illinois.

This mobile volunteer opportunity allows you to host an event at a location of your choice, making it easier for your group to contribute without the need to travel to our main warehouse. It’s perfect for those who wish to participate in a meaningful service project right in their local area.

Interested in getting involved? Download our information sheet below to learn more about how you can host a Pack & Impact event. This guide will provide you with all the details needed to organize a successful volunteer day, tailored to either diapers or period kits, based on your preference.
